In fact, currently we have disturbed geomagnetic conditions (K = 6) following the eruption of a magnetic filament on the Sun on the evening of 29 September. The following is a link to a video of the eruption:

The above eruption as well as throw into space nearly relativistic-speed protons caused a coronal mass ejection (CME) not exactly Earth-directed but came to us in the early hours of the morning today, ahead of schedule. Because of the interaction with the Earth’s magnetic field, the geomagnetic index k has jumped to 6. The effects of this interaction on HF ionospheric propagation may last a few days. Let us say, then, that in the early days of the DXpedition, will not return until the conditions geomagnetic quiet, the tables provide optimistic results than the reality, especially for the routes that pass near the poles.
If the geomagnetic conditions would persist for longer perturbed, we will update the tables.
Using Tables
Locate the route and the band (or time) of interest, there are two parameters that help us to understand which is the time (or band) better: the intensity of the signal (color from yellow to red) and the availability of the signal (color from light gray to blue). The ideal condition is for the intensity red and blue for availability. Click on the charts to enlarge them.
